As our customer base and the market for glass products expanded, Casso-Solar Glass Machinery Group was formed to answer our customers' requests to provide both turn-key process systems and/or equipment not currently manufactured by Casso-Solar Corporation including robotic loading and stacking; screen printing; tempering; cutting, breakout and grinding; material handling and more.

Casso-Solar Corporation was founded in 1960 as specialists in industrial heat processing. Early entry into the glass industry included one of the first oven drying systems for screen printed silver inks for the defogging systems on automotive rear windows. Casso-Solar's work in the automotive industry expanded with most major US based companies as customers plus many foreign. As glass usage increased in the commercial architectural glass market, screen printed and obscuration coatings were being applied to large sheets of glass for spandrel and decorative applications. Casso-Solar, in conjunction with industry partners, provided dryers for these products. With the introduction of hurricane construction codes requiring laminated glass, Casso-Solar became a major suppler of this equipment to the market place with the first system introduced almost 25 years ago.

As uses for glass increased, Casso-Solar provided equipment for the manufacture of appliance glass; solar energy panels; touch screen displays; television picture tubes; glass encapsulation for automotive windows; laminated bent glass for the automotive industry; laminated glass for bullet resistant and security glass; bent/annealed glass for automotive, architectural and aircraft glass; firing screen printed ceramic inks and annealing on glass plus many custom applications. With each project, Casso-Solar attended to the exact requirements of the customer.

The creation of Casso-Solar Glass Machinery Group provides a single source for glass equipment, with partners including Yuntong Glass for horizontal tempering furnaces and bend/temper systems; Fleischle for large format and fully automatic screen printing machines; and Olbricht for photovoltaic module manufacturing lines, robotic loading and stacking, compact cutting lines for cut/breakout/grinding in a single machine and other glass preprocessing equipment. Casso-Solar Glass Machinery Group provides the technical sales, service, spare parts and support for our North American customers.
